OvaFlow Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 26, 2026

OvaFlow provides menstrual-cycle tracking, symptom logging, reminders, Apple Health import, and an educational PCOS indicator. This Privacy Policy explains what information OvaFlow may process, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

1. Information We Process

Depending on the features you use, OvaFlow may process:

2. Email, Google, and Apple Sign-In

You may sign in using email and password, Google, or Apple. When you use Google or Apple, that provider authenticates your account and may share information such as your name, email address, provider identifier, and profile metadata according to your selections and the provider’s policies. OvaFlow does not receive your Google or Apple account password.

Apple users may choose Hide My Email. In that case, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of the user’s personal email address.

3. How We Use Information

4. Apple Health / HealthKit

With your permission, OvaFlow may read menstrual-flow information from Apple Health so that you can import existing cycle information into OvaFlow. OvaFlow requests access only when you choose to use the Apple Health integration, and you can change Health permissions at any time in Apple Health or iOS Settings.

When importing from Apple Health, you choose how the imported information is stored:

OvaFlow presents these choices when you initiate an Apple Health import or choose to import again.

The current version of OvaFlow does not write menstrual data to Apple Health. Information obtained through HealthKit is used to provide health-related functionality to you. OvaFlow does not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, and does not sell HealthKit data to data brokers, advertising platforms, or information resellers.

5. Offline Storage and Synchronization

OvaFlow may store session information, cycle entries, symptom entries, assessment status, reminders, and recently loaded information in app storage on your device. This allows portions of OvaFlow to continue working during temporary internet outages.

When internet connectivity returns, eligible locally queued changes may be synchronized with your OvaFlow cloud account. Apple Health information imported using Device Only is not uploaded merely because connectivity returns. If you later choose Import & Sync, information included in that import may then be uploaded to your OvaFlow account.

Removing the app may remove locally stored information from that device, including information kept using Device Only, but it does not automatically delete information that has already been synchronized to your OvaFlow account.

6. AI Processing and Medical Disclaimer

Assessment responses may be sent to a third-party AI service to generate an educational PCOS indicator score and explanation. The indicator is based on self-reported information and is not a clinically validated probability or diagnosis.

OvaFlow is not a medical device, and its outputs are not a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or substitute for professional medical care. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding medical questions or health concerns.

7. Service Providers

OvaFlow uses third-party service providers to support authentication, cloud database storage, synchronization, app infrastructure, and AI processing. These services may include Supabase for authentication and cloud data services, Apple and Google for optional sign-in, and an AI service accessed through OvaFlow’s backend for assessment processing. These providers process information as needed to perform their services and are subject to their own privacy and security practices.

8. Security

OvaFlow uses authentication controls, encrypted network connections, database access controls, and device app storage to reduce unauthorized access. No system can guarantee absolute security. Users should protect their devices with current software, a passcode, and other available device-security features.

9. Data Retention and Account Deletion

Information may be retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate the app, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect OvaFlow and its users.

You can permanently delete your OvaFlow account from within the app by opening Profile and selecting Delete Account. Account deletion removes the OvaFlow account and associated cloud data, including profile information, saved PCOS assessments, cycle data, symptom logs, and feedback, except information that OvaFlow may be legally required to retain.

Information stored only on a device, including Apple Health information imported using Device Only and locally stored reminder settings, may remain on that device until removed through the app where available or until the app’s local data is removed, such as by deleting the app.

If you used Sign in with Apple, you may also remove OvaFlow from the apps using your Apple Account in Apple Settings after deleting your OvaFlow account.

For questions about account deletion or privacy, contact ovaflow.support@gmail.com.

10. Children’s Privacy

OvaFlow is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age of majority should review health and privacy decisions with a parent, guardian, or trusted adult when appropriate.

11. Your Choices

You may choose which optional information to enter, log out of your account, adjust device notification permissions, change Apple Health permissions, choose Device Only or Import & Sync when importing Apple Health information, and permanently delete your OvaFlow account from within the app. You may also contact OvaFlow regarding access, correction, or privacy questions.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as OvaFlow’s features or practices change. The effective date at the top will be revised when material changes are published.
